Togg’s models received the highest rating of 5 stars in the safety performance evaluation of cars in the European market.

Euro NCAP, an independent organization based in Leuven, Belgium, which evaluates the safety levels of cars in Europe, released a statement on the test results of 16 new car models, including Togg’s.

The statement highlighted that two of Togg’s models achieved “exceptional” results in the Euro NCAP safety tests, noting that Togg brought “high standards” to the European electric vehicle market.

The statement recalled that Togg’s first models are the electric sedan T10F and the electric SUV T10X, adding, “Both new electric vehicles were awarded the 5-star Euro NCAP rating.”

It was noted that the T10F achieved an impressive 95% score in adult occupant protection, while the T10X scored 94%, ranking among the highest-performing vehicles tested by Euro NCAP.

The announcement also emphasized that both of Togg’s models scored highly in protecting children inside the vehicle and that the driver assistance systems provided strong safety.

It was reminded that Togg aims to export one million electric vehicles to the European market by 2030 and plans to expand its electric vehicle lineup to five models. The statement mentioned that the body designs of Togg’s SUV and sedan models were created by Murat Günak, a Turkish-origin designer who has led design at Pininfarina, Peugeot, Mercedes-Benz, and Volkswagen Group.

It also recalled that Türkiye hosts factories of many car manufacturers, including European brands like Fiat, Mercedes-Benz, and Renault, and that over 1.5 million cars and commercial vehicles are produced annually in the country.

Experts Impressed by Togg

Aled Williams, Program Director of Euro NCAP, commented that Togg set out to prove it is a strong contender in the electric car market and was built with robust engineering to offer outstanding safety and achieve a 5-star Euro NCAP rating.

“Euro NCAP experts were very impressed after the tough tests of the new T10F and T10X,” Williams said, adding that it is remarkable for a new brand’s first two vehicles to earn 5 stars.

Williams pointed out that following Togg’s high performance in the tests, the brand will gain more recognition and respect.

In Euro NCAP assessments, the Togg T10F received 5 stars with scores of 95% in adult occupant protection, 85% in child occupant protection, 78% in vulnerable road user protection, and 80% in safety assist.

The Togg T10X also earned 5 stars with 94% in adult occupant protection, 85% in child occupant protection, 79% in vulnerable road user protection, and 80% in safety assist.

Euro NCAP provides realistic and independent information about the safety performance of vehicles sold in Europe to consumers, policymakers and the industry by conducting safety assessments on new cars, trucks, and vans.
